What’s Up? Sympathy to the family of Susie (Sue) Henson (age 93), missionary to the deaf of Mexico. She passed away on January 29 in Canton, NC, surrounded by her family. She and her late husband, Rev. Ronald Henson, served the Lord in Mexico for many years. They established churches for the deaf in both Monterrey and Guadalajara. Before becoming missionaries, they led the deaf ministry at Highland Park Baptist Church, Chattanooga, TN. Her daughter Rebecca writes, “Although Mom had faced many physical challenges in recent years, she maintained her sweet and loving disposition. She read the Bible and prayed with others in her nursing home, and often abandoned her own walker so she could push the wheelchair of someone in need of her help.” The Hensons leave a legacy of love for the Deaf and family, faithfulness to the Lord, and servant hearts.

His daughter Bethany, missionary to the Deaf, wrote, “My father made his reservation in heaven, trusting Christ as his personal Savior when he was a child. I am so blessed to have had a father who raised me by example to love and serve the Lord. He will be so greatly missed, but I know he is pain-free in the presence of his Savior.”
